Ariat was founded back in 1993 by Pam Parker and Beth Cross, and it got its name from a prize-winning legendary race horse Secretariat. The brand was created on the idea that riding boots for English and western riders should be more comfortable because the “traditional boots were stiff, heavy and hard on the feet.” They were the first to integrate athletic footwear technology into boots for equestrian athletes.
