Different camping chairs are designed for different purposes. If you are car camping or driving to the campsite you can get a recliner with all the extras, like a cup holder, storage pockets, a padded headrest and lumbar support. For a backpacking trip you should pack a minimalist seat that will make break and chilling time in camp more comfortable. The most lightweight option is certanly a seating pad, inflatable or CCF (foam pads), that adds a layer of softness and insulation between you and the ground.
